With over thirty years of experience as
an inventor, pioneer, and racer, Frank Lupo, owner
of Dynamic Converters and Pro-Formance Transmissions
undoubtedly has one of the most prolific careers in
the high performance automatic transmission business.
Frank built his first transmission at the age
of fifteen at the family business, Fairbanks Racing
Automatics in Stamford, Connecticut, and owned and
raced his first race car at age sixteen.
This race car, which he still owns today,
is an Ex- Strickler - Jenkins Dodge factory aluminum
hemi racecar and one of fifty originally built in
1964. Not only has Frank's Dodge won class at numerous
NHRA Events, but also the car served as a test bed
for many industry breakthroughs. Frank's Dodge had
seen the likes of the Clutch-Flite, Clutch- Turbo,
(8)eight and (9) nine inch Chrysler Torque Converters,
the first finned deep aluminum oil pan, and cast aluminum
valve body.

Throughout his career, Frank Lupo, has been held in high
regard by his peers in the Automotive Industry. In 1973
Frank was a founding member of the Automatic Transmission
Rebuilders Association, Eastern Chapter. Frank and his
father, Joe Lupo, received the runner-up award for the
best new product at the 1976 SEMA Show. In 1980 the
Lupos were the first to offer a one-year guarantee on
eight-inch race converters, which was unheard of at the
time.
The
Lupos were not only building the best converters, but
also backing them up; a principle that Dynamic Converters
is built upon.
In
1985, Frank Lupo, with the help of friends and family,
started Dynamic Transmission Inc., formally of 143 Adeline
street New Haven, Connecticut. After fifteen years of
an unfriendly tax environment in New Haven, Connecticut,
Frank moved his Dynamic operation to a new home in the
heart of the East Coast Drag Racing Country, tax-free
Newark, Delaware.
Frank introduced his high tech, Pro-Formance
Transmission line, boasting the finest components available
and the ultimate in transmission technology.

Lou Arrington's "Brutus", Brad Anderson, and Fink Brothers.
Not to mention World Champions like Al Corda- the winningest
driver in Stock Eliminator history.
